Support

Help for SwordHUD on macOS. Email contact@camdenburke.co.uk and include your macOS version and what you saw.

Free fan project. SwordHUD is an unofficial, free fan project, so there is no purchase or licence key. Support is by email and answered when I can.

First, run the Setup Check

Click the SwordHUD icon in the menu bar and choose Setup Check. It tests Accessibility, Calendar, Reminders, Shortcuts, Music and Spotify, and the global shortcuts, and each line has a button to fix it. Use Copy report and paste it into your email if something is still wrong.

Shortcuts

KeysDoes
Control-Option-Command-HShow or hide the readouts
Control-Option-Command-MOpen the menu
Control-Option-Command-SpaceCommand bar
Control-Option-Command-XHide or show every widget

If another app already uses a shortcut, the Setup Check says so. The menu bar icon always works.

Window layouts or paste do nothing

These need Accessibility. Open System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility and switch SwordHUD on, or use the Setup Check button.

Quests are empty

Allow Calendar and Reminders when macOS asks, or use the Setup Check. Quests show events in the next day and a half and reminders that are due.

Actions show no Shortcuts

Actions run Shortcuts you have made in the Shortcuts app. Create one there, then reopen the Actions panel.

The widgets are in my way

Press Control-Option-Command-X to hide every widget. Hide single widgets from the menu, or set the HUD to hide itself when idle.
