SwordHUD
SwordHUD puts what you check all day on screen as health bars, and turns everyday Mac tasks into a menu you move through like a game. It lives in your menu bar and stays out of your way.
Free, no account, no ads and no purchases. Version 1.0 · notarized by Apple · macOS 14 or later · 2 MB.
This is a Mac app. Open this page on your Mac to get it.
Unofficial fan project. SwordHUD is made for fun and not for profit. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Kadokawa, Reki Kawahara or the Sword Art Online production committee. Sword Art Online and its designs belong to their owners. All art, code and sounds here were made from scratch. If a rights holder asks, I will take it down.
What it does
- Live readouts. An HP bar with CPU, plus bars for memory, battery, network and storage, and a target card for the app you are using.
- Clipboard history. Everything you copy is kept in a list you can paste from straight into the app you were using. Pin what you want to keep, or pause recording.
- Quests. Upcoming Calendar events and due Reminders appear as quests. Mark a reminder complete from the HUD.
- Equipment. Save and restore window layouts, and snap windows to a grid.
- Command bar. Control-Option-Command-Space to search apps, calculate and run commands.
- Easy to hide. Control-Option-Command-X hides every widget and brings them back. Widgets can also be hidden one by one, and the HUD hides itself when idle.
Private
No account, no analytics and no cloud. Everything stays on your Mac. Read the privacy policy.
Set up in a minute
On first launch a Setup Check lists the permissions and apps SwordHUD can use on your Mac, tests each one, and has a button to fix it. Open it again any time from the menu bar icon.
Permissions
Clipboard history and system readouts need no permissions. Quests use Calendar and Reminders, and window layouts use Accessibility, and you grant each one yourself. Managed Macs can lock those settings.
