camden burke Swish Notch

Terms of use

Swish Notch for macOS · license agreement · effective 24 October 2026

These terms are a license agreement between you and Camden Burke (“the developer”) for the Swish Notch app (“the app”). By downloading or using the app you agree to them. If you got a copy from the Mac App Store, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement also applies, and where these terms and Apple’s disagree, Apple’s govern the points it covers.

1. License

The developer grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on Macs you own or control. The app is licensed, not sold. You may not copy it except for backup, redistribute it, share your copy or any license information with others, rent, lease or sublicense it, modify or reverse engineer it, except where the law allows that despite this restriction. Part of the app’s notch shape and its open and close motion follow NotchDrop by Lakr Aream, used under the MIT License; the notice is in the app under the Swish menu, Acknowledgements, and does not change the license on the rest of Swish.

2. Purchase

3. Your files

4. Permissions and your data

Everything stays on your Mac, and the app never connects to the internet. See the privacy policy.

5. Ownership

The app, its name, artwork and code belong to the developer and its licensors. You own your files and anything you create with the app. These terms give you no rights in the developer’s trademarks. Apple, AirDrop, Mac, MacBook, macOS and Mac App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc., used only to say what Swish works with. Swish is not made, endorsed or sponsored by Apple.

6. No warranty

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.

7. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost files, data, profits or opportunities, arising from your use of the app. The developer’s total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

8. Copies from the Mac App Store

If you got the app from the Mac App Store: these terms are between you and the developer only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for claims relating to it, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection, or intellectual property infringement. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, once you accept them, have the right to enforce them against you. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to a warranty that cannot be excluded, you may notify Apple, which will refund the purchase price for the app if any.

9. Ending the license

The license ends automatically if you break these terms. You can end it at any time by deleting the app. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, no warranty, limit of liability) do.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States, without regard to conflict of laws rules, except where your local consumer law requires otherwise.
