Privacy policy
Short version: ConfettiYeti does not collect, store or transmit any personal data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party code that talks to the internet.
What the app does with your information
- Preferences. Your choices (look, sequence, shortcuts, schedule, dates you add) are saved on your Mac in macOS user defaults. They never leave it.
- Purchases. The optional one-time ConfettiYeti Pro purchase is handled entirely by the App Store. The app uses the network only so the App Store can show the price and confirm or restore a purchase. ConfettiYeti receives no payment details and no Apple Account details. Apple's own privacy policy covers what Apple does with your purchase.
- Calendar (optional). If you switch on “When a meeting ends” or “Birthdays from Calendar”, macOS asks you for Calendar access. ConfettiYeti reads event end times, and the Birthdays calendar for today, on your Mac to know when to celebrate. Event details are not stored and never leave your device.
- Reminders (optional). If you switch on “When I complete a reminder”, macOS asks you for Reminders access. ConfettiYeti learns only that a reminder was completed. It does not read or keep what the reminder says and keeps no history.
- Cursor trail (optional). If you switch it on, ConfettiYeti observes pointer movement to draw the trail. Positions are used only to draw the effect and are never recorded or sent anywhere.
What we do not do
We do not track you across apps or websites, build a profile of you, sell or share data, or use advertising identifiers. This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics.
Your control
You can turn off any optional feature in ConfettiYeti Settings, revoke Calendar or Reminders access in System Settings > Privacy & Security, and remove all saved preferences by deleting the app and its preferences.
Children
ConfettiYeti collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
