Whimsy privacy policy
Whimsy collects no data about you. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and the app makes no network connections.
What stays on your Mac
Your choices (the look, trail, cursor, color, size and the apps you pause Whimsy in) are saved in the app's preferences on your Mac and nowhere else. Deleting the app and its preferences removes them.
Purchases
Whimsy Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes the payment and tells the app whether Pro is unlocked; I never see your payment details, name or Apple ID, and the app makes no network requests of its own.
Permissions
Whimsy from the Mac App Store needs no special macOS permissions. It does not read, record or store what you type or what is on your screen. If a separately downloaded edition is ever offered, it asks for macOS Accessibility access only so it can follow the position of your pointer and draw the trail, and it still does not read, record or store what you type or what is on your screen.
Third parties
Whimsy sends nothing to me or to anyone else, so there is nothing to share, sell or disclose.
Children
Whimsy collects nothing from anyone, including children.
